The Community Library Council of Liberty Lake started in April 2002. Three years later, the Library Board of Trustees unanimously voted to change the name to the Friends of the Liberty Lake Municipal Library (FOLLML).
FOLLML is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing the programs, materials, and equipment of the Liberty Lake Municipal Library. Primarily a sponsor of programs for children such as the Summer Reading Program, the FOLLML also provides volunteers and support for a variety of exciting learning activities. We recognize that reading is the foundation for all other learning and work with the Library staff to promote the idea that the Library is a fun place to be.
Each year the FOLLML has fundraisers to encourage participation and donations to the Friends so we can continue to support our Library. Proceeds from fundraisers like the semi-annual book sale, the Summer Soirée, and the Be My Valentine Baskets silent auction go directly to the Library. Businesses and individuals who donate are recognized for their tax deductible donations.
